Training Course Summary:

Outline: Managing people used to be about being in charge with everyone taking directions and doing what they are told! Today, it is much more about understanding what makes people tick in their heads and hearts, building collaborative relationships, developing subtler forms of motivation and leading by example. This involves a deeper understanding of human nature, an awareness of what stops people doing what they need to do and why some people seem to be more difficult than others. Underlying these issues there are inherent tensions in the difference between a manager, a good manager and a brilliant manager. Resolving these tensions is not only the foundation of management effectiveness but also the missing link to achieve a higher level of leadership confidence and capability.

Who should attend? This workshop is for those in established management positions who would like to explore the deeper issues of being more effective in their management role and developing the practical tolls to become a better leader.
