The new Combined Code on Corporate Governance will apply to reporting years commencing on or after 1st November 2003. This course reviews all the principal aspects of the corporate governance debate in the United Kingdom and covers existing legislation, rules, regulations and best practice. Following the series of major corporate scandals surfacing during the recent bear market, a clear recognition and understanding of the inter-related responsibilities of directors, shareholders and auditors are of critical importance to the avoidance of similar problems arising in future.
