Training Course Summary:

Learn to write DB2 Stored Procedures.
This workshop has a close focus on the DB2 Development Center and is run on workstation platforms,
but the general concepts apply to mainframe students.

Pre-Requisites:

This prerequisite knowledge may be from prior experience or attendance on the following IBM Learning Services courses:
o CF03U - DB2 Family Fundamentals
o CF12GB - DB2 SQL Workshop.

Training Course Overview/Content:

On completion you will be able to:
o Describe a stored procedure, justify its use in an application
o Understand the DB2 Development Center and its capabilities
o Describe the SQL/PL statements and how to use them in an application
o Describe the basic structure of a Java application using stored procedures
o Be able to create a DB2 stored procedure using DDL
o Describe troubleshooting approaches for stored procedures
