Training Course Summary:
Using Windows NT, of IBM DB2 Universal Database performance tuning tools and techniques, and applicable to UNIX, OS/2 or NT platforms, you practise the skills learnt on CF21.Pre-Requisites:
Before taking this course you should be able to administer a DB2 Universal Database on a serial processor (non-partitioned). This skills can be developed by taking the DB2 UDB Administration Workshop (CF21U).Who Should Attend:
Database designers, database administrators and application developers who are concerned about performance.Training Course Overview/Content:
On completion you will be able too Define the impact of database design (tables, indexes, data placement etc) on data performance
o Describe database application programming considerations and how they affect performance
o Identify and describe the parameters (database and non-database) which affect performance
o Tune parameters to achieve optimum performance
o Identify and use the tools that assist in monitoring and tuning of a database.
