Training Course Summary:

This course uses Rational RequisitePro, Rational's tool for capturing and managing the changing requirements of a project. You gain an understanding of Rational RequisitePro's project structure and use the tool to apply software development best practices as recommended in the Rational Unified Process. You define document and requirement types, define requirements and attributes, create Rational RequisitePro documents, import project data, explore hierarchical relationships and examine traceability.

Students would benefit from having taken:

Requirements Management with Use Cases. This three day course provides training in eliciting and managing the changing requirements of a project, with use-case modelling techniques. Requirements Management with Use Cases is an excellent introduction to the process of requirements management and is often delivered immediately before the Rational RequisitePro course.

Students should be familiar with: Requirements management and the software development lifecycle

The Rational RequisitePro introductory course is intended for Rational RequisitePro end users; any team member that will use Rational RequisitePro to capture, manage and interact with the requirements of the project. The primary audience consists of business and requirements analysts.
