Training Course Summary:
This course provides instructor-led training that enables the student to learn how to use the fast, simple, and easy Cisco ONS 15454. The ONS 15454 is a powerful optical platform that lowers the cost and increases the efficiency of bandwidth delivery within optical transport networks. The Cisco Multiservice over SONET/SDH products include the Cisco E-series, G-series and ML-series line cards for the ONS 15454. The ONS 15454 MSOS products are designed to extend the Ethernet and IP networking functionality of the Cisco ONS 15454 optical transport platform. The ONS 15454 is a powerful optical platform that lowers the cost and increases the efficiency of bandwidth delivery within transport networks.This course provides instructor-led training that enables the student to learn how to operate these products through classroom instruction and hands-on training on an ONS 15454 network. This course includes an overview of data networking concepts including an introduction to Cisco?s Internetwork operating system (IOS). Students without a data background will learn to provision SONET circuits with CTC as well as Layer 1/Layer 2 features and functions using Cisco IOS. A two-day course is offered that provides classroom instruction and hands-on training on the actual equipment.

Install hardware and software
Provision a UPSR or SNCP network
Provision an E-series Ethernet circuit
Provision an ML-series hub and spoke Ethernet architecture
Provision an ML-series share packet ring Ethernet architecture
Identify types of IP addressing and common IP addressing scenarios
