This course is for Database Administrators, Systems Administrators and Network Managers who need to gain practical experience in setting up and administering an Oracle9i database and who also need to plan and implement database backup and recovery strategies and configure Oracle databases in a network environment.
Objectives:
By the end of this course, the delegate will have been given practical experience in creating and managing an Oracle9i database and in using the various Oracle backup and recovery commands. The delegate will also have had practical experience in configuring Net Architecture, the Oracle Shared Server and the Listener. Experience of troubleshooting backup and recovery and simple network problems will also have been gained.
