Training Course Summary:

The Cisco Transport Manager (CTM) Operation and Maintenance course is a one-day instructor-led training than enables the student to use the CTM network management system to manage a variety of Cisco optical networking products. Working in small groups of up to three people per node, students complete a wide range of tasks covering many features and functions


After completing this course, students will be able to:


Identify and operate the major functions of CTM
Install and start the client software
Perform user administration
Add new Network Elements (NEs)
Use the fault management and alarm reporting features

Pre-Requisites:

To gain maximum benefit from the course, students need experience in the provisioning and operation of DWDM or optical transport equipment, including the following basic SONET or SDH knowledge:


payload and overhead
topologies
protection
It is also recommended students attending this class take the Cisco ONS 15454 Provisioning and Operation Training
