Training Course: Managing diversity
training course enquiry
Training Course Summary:
The people within a company, can be what distinguishes a great company from a poor one. For organisations to remain competitive their greatest asset - the employees - need to be retained and remain motivated. Employers must seek to develop every individual talent of each member. With current new legislation on disability and human rights, plus the topical debate on ageism, equal opportunities and diversity are always in current news debates. Managing diversity is about valuing the differences people from varied backgrounds bring to an organisation, and nurturing these. This can not only lead to improvements in customer care, but also attract and retain talent. Managing diversity builds on the understanding that equal opportunities adds business value. It can identify areas where people are treated differently and are unable to develop their careers in a similar way to their colleagues. Therefore, it is about promoting a culture which encourages different groups to work together without prejudice, bullying or stereotyping. This course is concerned with recognising diversity as an opportunity and not a challenge. What You Will Learn
