By building on a broad platform of basic storage technology and on the features and benefits that the MDS 9000 family brings to the market, the student develops skills in installing and configuring new installations and in troubleshooting techniques for resolving problems in existing implementations


COURSE OBJECTIVES


Describe the storage and networking technologies and applications that surround the MDS 9000 Family
Describe the MDS 9000 Family system components, features, diagnostics, and management capabilities
Install and configure MDS 9000 Family of multi-layer switches
Describe the purposes of MDS 9000 Family troubleshooting tools and use them to perform basic troubleshooting tasks

Pre-Requisites:

Understanding of basic data storage components and protocols such as networked storage devices, direct attached storage (DAS), fibre channel based storage area networks (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS).
