Training Course Summary:

This five-day instructor led course delivery combines selected modules from the SA210, SA330, SA310 and SA260 authorised courses, in order to demonstrate and practise selected competency areas, deemed relevant to R5 CLP Systems Administration candidates. Delegates will be recommended to further study and practise those topics that can only be referenced throughout the 5 days.This course is designed for Experienced Domino Administrators (in R4.x or R5) who wish to cover key R5 Administration concepts and prepare themselves for the R5 CLP System Administration qualification through an intensive 'hands-on' course. Do not apply to attend this course without fully reading the delegate prerequisites below.

Pre-Requisites:

Delegates are required to meet the following prerequisites:· Experience in administering either an R4 or R5 Domino infrastructure (with at least 3 months hands-on experience) · Firm understanding of Networking technologies, Standard Protocols (e.g. TCP/IP) and concepts. · Experience with database administration and messaging administration systems (e.g. SMTP) is strongly recommended. (if this is not Domino/Notes, then technical candidates need to be thoroughly familiar with the features of the Domino Administrator Clients (and Notes User Client) before applying to this course).

Training Course Overview/Content:

Upon completion of this course, the delegate will be able to:

· Create and modify Domino users
· Maintain and monitor existing Domino servers and databases using available administration tools.
· Perform common server maintenance troubleshooting tasks.
· Evaluate current Domino infrastructure for changes to facilitate maintenance.
· Install, set up and configure one or more Domino servers
· Troubleshoot common install and setup and deployment problems
· Compile an action item list for use back at the job, specific for installing and setting up the student's environment.
· Determine a deployment strategy
· Set database access
· Roll out applications to servers and users
· Organize databases

Qualifications:

This course gives the foundation of the information required to take the exams towards the R5 System Administration CLP.
