training course enquiry
Training Course Summary:
The Cisco EVODD course is designed to capture the breadth of technical issues surrounding the design of Voice over Data networks and explain a methodology that brings order to approaching the problems faced by a systems engineer. The purpose of this class is to discuss the technical issues of designing Voice over Data networks. This course will assist both sales and technical personnel by teaching the Cisco methodology for implementing Voice over Data networks.Course Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
Identify EVODD building blocks and describe how to implement an end-to-end IP telephony installation
Describe how to design and deploy a Voice over Data network as well as estimate potential cost savings
Describe the functions of H.323 standard components, signaling, and gateway protocols
Describe VoFR design considerations, encapsulation standards, and challenges
Describe CallManager features, architectures, and deployment methods
Identify various gateway features and determine the proper gateway for a given network environment
Compare standard and nonstandard signaling as well as describe how PBXs are networked and PBX signaling is transported
Describe dial plan functionality, features, and considerations
Describe delay characteristics, causes, and how delay affects voice quality
Identify and describe compression technologies, packet compensation, and support of Fax over Data
Describe network requirements for voice quality, traffic efficiency tools, and QoS deployment
