Training Course Summary:

This four-day course offers comprehensive training to enhance enterprise knowledge of VPN-1/FireWall-1 Next Generation (NG), addressing network planning, High Availability solutions, and advanced troubleshooting procedures.

As with all our courses, practical hands-on experience is used to reinforce the theory covered in the course work. Numerous workshops are performed during the course to help students build the skills necessary to configure, maintain, integrate and troubleshoot FireWall-1 environments.

This course is designed for systems administrators, security managers and network engineers implementing VPN-1/FireWall-1 NG in an enterprise setting, and individuals seeking the Check Point Certified Security Expert Plus: Enterprise Integration and Troubleshooting (CCSE plus) certification.

This course meets the requirements for the Check Point Certified Security Expert Plus (CCSE+) NG Certification. A separate examination (not part of the course) is available for those delegates who wish to have formal certification.

Pre-Requisites:

Delegates must already have attended the VPN-1/FireWall-1 Management I - NG and VPN-1/FireWall-1
Management II - NG, or equivalent knowledge and experience

Training Course Overview/Content:

In the labs you will gain hands-on experience in:
• Creating a network diagram and a security policy outline
• Placing security components in a network and defining proper subset and overlapping encryption domains
• Installing VPN-1/FireWall-1 in a distributed environment
• Converting users from VPN-1/FireWall-1 NG files to LDAP and configuring groups in LDAP
• Integrating UserAuthority with Microsoft IIS software suite
• Configuring MEP and SEP VPNs
