Training Course Summary:

Further skills development for students with a strong DB2 background ­ master data sharing in an OS/390 Parallel Sysplex environment. Lab Teams of two or three people perform the implementation steps of data sharing on their own parallel sysplex

Pre-Requisites:

Students should have a strong DB2 background. This should include an understanding of non-data sharing performance monitoring and recovery and the general principles of system and database administration.

Who Should Attend:

System Administrators and Database Administrators.

o Describe DB2 for OS/390 data sharing components
o Describe an OS/390 parallel sysplex environment
o Understand how DB2 data sharing utilises OS/390 Sysplex services
o Describe how to plan for and implement DB2 data sharing
o Understand the key performance and recovery issues for DB2 data sharing
