Builds on the DB2 SQL Workshop (CF12GB) and enhances your existing SQL knowledge. There is ample opportunity to try out 'advanced' statements in practical sessions.

You should complete the DB2 SQL Workshop (CF12GB) and/or have three to six months of SQL experience.

Training Course Overview/Content:

On completion you will be able to :
o Use 'advanced' SQL constructs, such as recursive SQL, CASE expressions, check constraints, and triggers
o Discuss basic relational database concepts, such as referential integrity, tables, and indexes
o Create DB2 objects such as tables, indexes and views
o Use inner and outer joins
o Use more complex subqueries
o Use the major scalar functions, and the 'newer' GROUPing column functions
o Understand the use and impact of summary tables and table expreressions.
