Training Course Summary:

This two-day technical course provides an intensive hands-on training experience with Cisco's Content Engine caching products. This course does not cover Content Engine CDN products.The class format will alternate between lectures, whiteboard discussions,and hands-on lab exercises.

Pre-Requisites:

Delegates are required to meet the following prerequisites: · A basic understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, and IP routing.

Training Course Overview/Content:

Upon completion of this course, the delegate will be able to:
· Describe the challenges that exist with content delivery networks for both the Enterprise and Service Provider.
· Describe network caching as a solution to the challenges encountered with content delivery networks
· Describe proxy, transparent, and reverse proxy caching technologies.
· Describe the hardware and performance features that comprise the Cisco Content Engine CE507, CE560, CE590, and CE7320 products
· Identify where Content Engines are deployed in the network
· Describe the Content Engine caching application features
· Describe the Content Engine Management, monitoring, and reporting features.
· Perform a software upgrade on a Cisco Content Engine.
· Configure a Cisco Content Engine and router for transparent cache operation.
· Configure a Cisco Content Engine and router for reverse proxy cache operation.
· Configure a Cisco Content Engine, router, and Content Services Switch for proxy cache operation.
· Configure the Content Engine management, monitor, and reporting features.
· Apply maintenance and troubleshooting techniques relative to the Cisco Content Engine

Qualifications:

This course, along with CSSOC and ECDN, is recommended in the preparation for the Cisco Content Networking Specialist v1.1 Exam ( Cisco test no. 9E0-600)Counts towards:Cisco Content Networking Specialist
