Training Course Summary:

This hands-on course provides the methodology and tools required to perform basic provisioning, configuration, verification and basic troubleshooting of the Cisco BTS 10200 Softswitch for the North America cable, and worldwide business and local residential services using Cisco BTS 10200 software release 4.4.

Participants learn by doing during lab sessions. With step-by-step instructions, participants configure and verify operations the Cisco BTS 10200 Softswitch for cable, business and local services. All variations of call processing are covered and successful call completions using various transport protocols with various features are covered.

Pre-Requisites:

Completion of the Cisco BTS 10200 Applications Overview (CBTSA) course is recommended.

identify key components of a telecom network (SSP, STP, SCP, etc.)
define industry structure - PTT, ILECs, CLECs, IXCs for North America
Transmission

describe network access, loops, and ISDN, Switching
identify and describe switching system types, describe network routing, network control
describe user to network signaling and network to network signaling, identify and define SS7, ISDN, H.323, and SIP protocol stacks, knowledge of IP and data networking basics, Cable network infrastructure basics, sound knowledge of Cisco IOS and Unix.
