Training Course Summary:

The AWFSS 3.1 is a four day instructor led course which is designed to give the delegate knowledge on the Cisco Aironet wireless LAN product set. Presentation material will explore WLAN Networking overview, WLAN applications in specific markets, WLAN topologies and design concerns, essential equipment, AP configuration, and site survey techniques. During this hands-on labs course delegates will be required to perform an actual site survey of the available facilities.

Pre-Requisites:

There are no delegate pre-requisites for this course.

Who Should Attend:

The Cisco Aironet Wireless LAN Fundamentals section of this technical training course is intended for technical sales and technical engineers that will be designing, selling and installing wireless LANs. The Cisco Aironet Wireless Site Survey section of this course is inrended for technical individuals that will be tasked with performing site surveys for Wireless LAN solution implementations.

Training Course Overview/Content:

On completion of this course the delegate will be able to:

• Prepare the student for subsequent WLAN (Wireless LAN) courses
• State basic RF and Antenna theory
• Identify and define Cisco WLAN product offerings
• Propose best Cisco WLAN Solution
• Demonstrate knowledge of WLAN Fundamentals
• Participate in pre-sales activity
• Install WLAN Client adapters, drivers, associated utilities
• Configure client adapter and access point • Demonstrate WLAN functionality
• Troubleshoot driver
• Perform an entry level site survey
• Generate proper documentation of site survey findings
• Quote a complete WLAN solution including staging and installation services, and all necessary equipment.
• Install WLAN infrastructure
• Configure WLAN infrastructure
• Test WLAN infrastructuret
