Training Course Summary:
This assessment event is designed to provide the individual with a qualification that recognises their capability in project management. The Practitioner Qualification is an IPMA Level C qualification and assesses capability, i.e. appropriate application of those knowledge areas defined by the APM Body of Knowledge. Over one hundred project managers have been assessed for the Practitioner Qualification so far.Who Should Attend:
Those interested in gaining a recognised qualification of their project management capability. This is likely to include those who have had experience in responsible leadership functions of projects, or perhaps as a team leader of a part of a larger project.Training Course Overview/Content:
Course objectives:Candidates will be assessed against 30 criteria of which the key areas are:
Demonstrate an understanding of project context and the overall business cases
Demonstrate a comprehensive project management planning process
Apply a competent risk management process to the project
Optimise project plans to respond to major change
Demonstrate an ability to monitor project progress and take suitable controlling action
Work effectively as a team member
Course content
Individual work - candidates will provide written answers in examination conditions to questions based upon the given case study
Group work (observed) – candidates will carry out group exercises in order to discuss and solve problems relating to the case study
Interviews - all candidates will be interviewed on an individual basis
