Training Course Summary:

The course provides a good understanding of the principles of system design. It follows naturally on from the topics covered in Business Systems Analysis.

Pre-Requisites:

Course participants would benefit from having attended Business Systems Analysis, or having substantial development experience.

Who Should Attend:

The course is intended primarily for systems analysts and designers who will be involved in the design, testing and roll-out of a new IT System.

Training Course Overview/Content:

This course will enable course participants to:

understand the principles of good systems design
participate in the design of processes and screens
convert a Logical Data Model into a Physical Data Base Design
prepare a test strategy
build an implementation plan

This course follows the syllabus for one of the Core Modules leading to the ISEB Diploma in Systems Analysis & Design. Course participants can choose from a variety of courses, depending upon which optional credit they wish to gain.

Qualifications:

This course will prepare students to take the written examination leading to the ISEB certificate in Systems Design and Implementation.
