Training Course Summary:

This course teaches the production of 2D working drawings using AutoCAD. It is entirely practical with a hands-on-approach and you will have your own professional CAD networked computer. You will be given your own set of bound course notes.

Who Should Attend:

New users of AutoCAD. Previous computer or CAD use is not required but we would recommend the three day basic course. Drawing board skills are very useful. Managers requiring an overview of AutoCAD for evaluation or management purposes.

Training Course Overview/Content:

Introduction to the course and hardware
- Overview of AutoCAD 2002.
- Overview of PC, Peripherals, System Settings and Variables.
Assist Commands
- Help! Cancel, Undo, Redo.
- Creating and Opening a Drawing File
- Menus, Toolbars and Dialogue boxes.
Precision input
Drawing Settings and Aids
- Snap, Grid, Orthogonal, Polar, Object Tracking, Object Snap and Lineweight Settings.
Drawing Commands
- Line, Construction Line, Polyline, Polygon, Arc, Circle, Blocks, Ellipses, Hatch, Text.
Edit Commands
- Erase, Copy, Mirror, Offset, Array, Rotate, Scale, Stretch, Trim, Extend, Break, Explode.
Creating Template Files
- Text Styles, Drawing Limits, Layers, Units, Point Style, Dimension Style Overview
View Commands
- Redraw, Regen, Zoom, Pan.
Saving and Plotting Drawings in both Model and Layout

The above may be varied to suit client’s preferences and requirements.

Qualifications:

At the end of the course you will be presented with an Autodesk Authorised Training Certificate.
