Training Course Summary:

AATPI is a follow-on course to Cisco CallManager Bootcamp (CMBC) intended for engineers who must troubleshoot an IP telephony network. In the course, students will integrate call processing and client components including CallManager 4.0 and IP phones.

Students will then troubleshoot the environment based on some of the most prolific calls that have come into the Cisco TAC on IP telephony. Labs include configuring and integrating Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data) with a traditional private branch exchange (PBX). Also, students will integrate the traditional PBX (Avaya Definity) through Primary Rate Interface (PRI) and channel associated signaling (CAS) gateways, both with a Cisco Catalyst?6000 Series Switch and Cisco IOS? routers as well as H.323 and Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP).

The labs, which account for 75 percent of class time, utilize CallManager 4.0 and current features to ensure that students gain experience with today?s issues and solutions. The lab pod simulate a large enterprise with headquarter and branch offices. Pods ultimately merge into a fully distributed Cisco IPT deployment.

Pre-Requisites:

Taken either the CIPT or CallManager Bootcamp course
Have installed and configured CallManager in two-unit cluster
Installed IP phones, set up server for auto-register, and configured phones for supplementary services
Integrated sites in centralized and distributed modes
Used available troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve problems
Connected IP voice network to PSTN and analog phones via gateways
Configured a gatekeeper
