Training Course Summary:

This course provides information and hands-on technical training to administer and configure the Alteon Web Switching Module (WSM) in the Passport 8600.

The WSM combines the layer 4-7 switching of the Alteon 184 switch with the port density and speed of the Passport 8600.

The student will learn how to implement the WSM in single and redundant configurations. This class includes lecture and extensive lab time.

Pre-Requisites:

A101 Alteon Basic Switch Administration and Configuration
A201 Alteon Advanced Switch Configuration


Practical understanding and experience with networking infrastructure products (i.e. bridges, switches, and routers) and Internet-based protocols (i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.)
