Training Course Summary:

Switched Firewall Administration and Configuration is a hands-on, instructor-led course that covers the Switched Firewall product features, and the installation, administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Switched Firewall products in customer networks. The standard as well the high availability configuration is covered. This product is the hardware basis for a "Check PointÃ?â?zÂ? NG Firewall1". Please be aware, in this course are only those details covered which are refer to the platform. To take systems in commission, the basic CPÃ?â?zÂ? steps are also included at this course. To really build up an advanced Fire Wall, additional knowledge about Check PointÃ?â?zÂ? is required. The big advantage of this structure is, only commissioning staff has to know details about Nortel Firewall Systems. A daily operator has only to know GUI which is hardware independent.
Hands-on will be done on 6414 hardware.

To prepare for Nortel Certifications 920-440 (Design Expert) and 920-448 (Support Expert) this course is recommended.

Pre-Requisites:

Knowledge equivalent to Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA). Practical understanding and experience with networking infrastructure products (i.e. switches, routers, firewalls etc.) and protocols. (i.e., TCP/IP, HTTP etc.)
