Training Course Summary:
This course provides students with the concepts and skills to establish ZENworks 2.0 on a NetWare 5 network and use the ZENworks components (i.e., Application Launcher, Remote Management and Workstation Manager) to manage Windows workstations through NDS. This course does not address ZENworks version upgrades or feature difference issues between ZENworks 2.0 and prior versions of ZENworks.Pre-Requisites:
• Passed Novell Courses 520 and 525, or Courses 560 and 570 at CNE level• Basic understanding of personal computers, operating systems and network technology
• Working knowledge of Windows 95/98 or Windows NT
• Experience with DOS
Training Course Overview/Content:
When you complete this course, you will be able to:• Implement ZENworks
• Use Application Launcher to manage and distribute applications
• Use Workstation Manager to create policy package objects
• Enable policies in policy package objects to meet workstation management needs
• Remotely manage workstations using NDS
• Configure Help Requester Trouble Tickets to provide info to troubleshoot wrkstns
• Use NetWare Admin to maintain an NDS tree that reflects status of workstations
• Generate hardware and software inventories of managed workstations
