This five-day instructor-led course provides students with demonstrations and hands-on lab instruction in administering Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003. Students will learn how to use Group Policy and Microsoft Windows Deployment Services.


At Course Completion
After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Create Organizational Units (OUs) and Groups.

• Create User Accounts.

• Publish an application by using Group Policy.

• Control the user environment.

• Configure software restrictions.

• Understand how Group Policy Object (GPO) settings affect users and computers.

• Create, capture, and deploy a WinPE image.

Pre-Requisites:

Students should have a basic understanding of:

• Remote deployment.

• Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) scopes and exclusion ranges.

• Domain Name System.

• Common directory services protocols and applications.

Who Should Attend:

This course is intended for current Linux Cluster Administrators who are familiar with high-performance computing concepts and who are interested in expanding their knowledge of high-performance computing in a Windows environment.

This module explains how to use some common administrative tasks and the tools that are available for use in Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003.
