Training Course Summary:
The goal of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to deploy and manage Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 in an enterprise production environment.Pre-Requisites:
Successfully completed Course 1560, Upgrading Support Skills from Microsoft Windows NT to Microsoft Windows 2000, orSuccessfully completed Course 2152, Supporting Windows 2000 Professional and Server, or equivalent knowledge and skills. This includes installing Microsoft Windows 2000, using Windows 2000 administration tools, configuring hard disks and partitions, creating and administering printers, and controlling access of file resources by using NTFS and shared folders. And
Successfully completed Course 2153, Implementing a Network Infrastructure using Microsoft Windows 2000, or equivalent knowledge and skills. This includes installing and configuring (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), and Certificate Services.

This course is intended for site architects, senior support professionals, and technical consultants who will need to deploy and manage Host Integration Server. It is not intended for developers or business managers.Training Course Overview/Content:

Configure network access to Systems Network Architecture (SNA) hosts.
Configure dependent logical unit (LU) access to a mainframe computer.
Configure independent LU 6.2 access.
Install and configure Host Integration Server Clients.
Configure the Host Print service.
Configure Host Security integration.
Describe the role of COM Transaction Integrator for CICS and IMS (COMTI).
Configure COMTI-to-mainframe computers.
Install and configure the MSMQ-MQSeries Bridge.
Integrate host data in an SNA environment.
