Training Course Summary:
This course provides introductory training to information technology professionals who are responsible for administering and implementing Microsoft SQL Server™.Practical, hands-on exercises support the lectures to enhance the learning experience for students. By the end of this course, students will have acquired the knowledge and skills required to install, configure, administer, and implement SQL Server version 7.0.
Pre-Requisites:
Experience using the Microsoft Windows NT® Server network operating system:Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows® operating system
Understanding of basic Microsoft network functions and terminology
Understanding share and access network resources
Ability to set up user accounts through User Manager for Domains
Ability to change network settings using Control Panel
Experience working with any database front-end query and reporting tool
It is a plus to have the following:
One year of experience with relational databases, including designing a relational database
Understanding of the fundamental concepts of relational database design
One month of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Understanding of basic Transact-SQL statements

At the end of the course, students will be able to:Describe Microsoft SQL Server architecture.
Install and configure SQL Server.
Create and manage files and databases.
Choose a login security method and configure login security.
Plan and implement database permissions.
Transfer and migrate data into databases.
